| Jesus said, |
耶稣说, |
| "It was said to them of old time, 'Honor they Heavenly
Father and thy Earthly Mother, and do their commandments, that
thy days may be long upon the earth.' |
“远古的先民们被告诫道, ‘荣耀你们在天上的父和你们俗世的母亲，并且要守他们的戒命，那你们将可长久活在这地上
。' |
| And next afterward was given the commandment, 'Thou
shalt not kill,' for life is given to all by God, and that which
God has given, let not man take away. |
而后紧接着就受了这条戒律, ‘你们不应杀生'，因为所有的生命都是上帝所赐，而上帝已给的，不可让人夺走。 |
| For I tell you truly, from one Mother proceeds all
that lives upon the earth. |
我实话告诉你们，地上一切的生命都孕育自同一个母亲。 |
| Therefore, he who kills, kills his brother. And
from him will the Earthly Mother turn away, and will pluck from
him her quickening breasts. |
因此，那杀生的，就是杀了他的弟兄。 且那俗世的母亲也将背转脸去,并将她那生命的乳汁从他口中拔出。 |
| And he will be shunned by her angels, and Satan
will have his dwelling in his body. |
而天使们将远离他，撒旦将附住在他体内。 |
| And the flesh of slain bests in his body will become
his own tomb. |
那些被杀的动物肉在他的躯体内将变他成自己的坟墓。 |
| For I tell you truly, he who kills, kills himself,
and whoso eats the flesh of slain beasts, eats of the body of
death. |
我实话告诉你们，那杀生的，就是杀自己，而且任何人吃那些被杀动物的肉，就是在咬死神的躯干。 |
| For in his blood every drop of their blood turns
to poison; |
因为每一滴动物的血在他的血里都变成毒药； |
| in his breath their breath to stink; |
它们的气息在他的呼息中都发臭； |
| in his flesh their flesh to boils; |
它们的肉在他的肉中都成疔疮； |
| in his bones their bones to chalk; |
它们的骨头在他的骨头中都变成粉末； |
| in his bowels their bowels to decay; |
它们的肠子在他的肠中腐烂； |
| in his eyes their eyes to scales; |
它们的眼睛在他的眼中成为污垢； |
| in his ears their ears to waxy issue. |
它们的耳朵在他的耳朵里如蜡般流出。 |
| And their death will become his death. |
而它们的死也就是他的亡。 |
| For only in the service of your Heavenly Father
are your debts of seven years forgiven in seven days. |
只有侍奉你们的天父，你们七年的债才会在七天内被宽恕。 |
| But Satan forgives you nothing and you must pay
him for all. |
但是撒旦什么都没赦免你，而你却必须为你所作的一切同他清付。 |
| 'Eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, foot
for foot; |
‘眼还眼，牙还牙，手还手，脚还脚； |
| burning for burning, wound for wound; life for life,
death for death.' |
火烧还火烧，伤害还伤害； 以命偿命，以死亡换死亡。’ |
| For the wages of sin is death. |
因为为罪的报酬是死亡。 |
| Kill not, neither eat the flesh of your innocent
prey, lest you become the slaves of Satan. |
不要杀生，也不要吃那些无辜的被掠食者的肉，以免你变成撒旦的奴隶。 |
| For that is the path of sufferings, and it leads
unto death. |
因为那是痛苦之路，它通至死亡。 |
| But do the will of God, that his angels may serve
you on the way of life. |
而服从上帝的旨意行事，那他的天使们就会在你生命的路途中侍奉你。 |
| Obey, therefore, the words of Gd: 'Behold, I have
given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all
the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree
yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat. |
遵从吧，因此，上帝才说:‘看哪，我已赐给你们遍地上一切结种子的菜蔬和一切树上所结有核的果子； 这些都应是你们的食物。 |
| And to every beast of the earth, and to every fowl
of the air, and to everything that moveth and liveth upon earth,
wherein there is breath of life, I give every green herb for meat.

至于地上的走兽和空中的飞鸟，并各样爬在地上有生命的物，我将青草赐给它们作食物。 |
| Also the milk of every thing that moveth and liveth
upon earth shall be meat for you; even as the green herb have
I given unto them, so I give their milk unto you. |
任何爬在地上有生命的物，它们的奶也可做你们的食物。 正如我把青草赐给它们为食，我也把它们的奶赐给你们。 |
| But flesh, and the blood which quickens it, shall
ye not eat. |
但是肉，和里面的鲜血，你们不能吃。 |
| And surely, your spurting blood will I require,
your blood wherein is your soul; |
否则，我一定会索要你喷涌的鲜血，因你的血就是你灵魂的所在； |
| I will require all slain beasts, and the souls
of all slain men. |
我将索要所有杀戮的动物，和所有杀戮之人的灵魂。 |
| For I the Lord thy God am a God strong and jealous,
visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the
thrid and fourth generation of them that hate me; |
因为我——你们的上帝，是一个强悍和嫉妒的神，我会因那些父辈所犯的罪而惩罚他那些憎恨我的子孙，直至三四代。 |
| and show mercy unto thousands of them that love
me, and keep my commandments. |
而对那些爱我且持守我戒命的，我将垂怜他们直至千万代。’ |
| Love the Lord thy God with all they heart, and with
all they soul, and with all thy strength: |
用你们全部的心；全部的灵；和全部的力量来爱主——你们的上帝: |
| this is the first and greatest commandment.' |
这就是第一的且是最重要的戒律。 |
| And the second is life unto it: 'Love thy neighbour
as thyself.' |
接下来第二条就是：‘要爱人如爱己。’ |
| There is no other commandment greater than these."
|
再没有其他比这两条更重要的戒律了。” |
